Added
a new system parameter to allow hammering of guns during
purge: When "HAMR" parameter set to 1,
guns cycled at a 50 Hz rate during purge. When
"HAMR" set to a 0, guns purged normally.
Changed the resolution for metric line speed settings to 0.1
m/min: Resolution has been increased from 1 m/min
to 0.1 m/min to provide better resolution for low line speed
situations.
Added a new system parameter for remote configuration called
INCFG: A new system parameter, called INCFG,
allows customers to configure the remote inputs to any of
the following configurations to meet specific operating
requirements.

Tool added to assist in determining gun-to-trigger offset
(GTO): A read-only value, TRAVL, was added to the gun
menu that shows the distance the line has traveled since the last
trigger. This provides a way to determine GTO when the
distance between the trigger and the gun is not easy to measure.
Tool added to assist in determining gun compensation:
A read-only value, LPSPD, was added in the gun menu that shows the
instantaneous line speed when the last product was glued.
This provides a way to determine the line speed (which is required
to determine gun compensation) in installations where line speed
varies.
Support for firmware upgrades: Using PatternView, the
firmware in an Eclipse unit can now be upgraded in the field.
Allow front panel to be used when the unit is in remote
mode: In the previous version, all keys on the front
panel except Run were disabled when the unit was in remote
mode. Now only the Use key is disabled.
Select gun 1 when entering purge mode: In the
previous version, when entering purge mode, the default was to
place the user on the menu to purge all guns. The user is
now placed on the menu to purge gun 1.
Added support for putting PatterView on the network:
Previously, the operator panel and PatterView could not be
connected to the network at the same time. With the release
of PatternView, support was added in the operator panel to detect
that PatternView is on the network and to lock itself. The
transfer of control between Patternview and the operator panel is
a feature provided by PatternView.
Product length autoscale detect product before displaying RUN:
Previously, when autoscaling using the product length method, the
operator panel would display RUN as soon as the line speed was
above zero. Now the operator panel waits for a product to
pass the trigger before displaying RUN.
Additional tests added to manufacturing functional test:
Used to increase test coverage.
Additional tests added to manufacturing Environmental Stress
Screening (ESS): Used to increase test coverage. |
NOTE:
Due to a bug in version 3.01 software, do not upgrade EPC-30
display containing 3.01 software. If a unit with 3.01
display software is electronically upgraded, the unit will not
function correctly! To resolve the issue, purchase the
firmware service kit, 772022, to replace the chips in the pattern
controller. Once the unit has the new 4.01 display software,
electronic downloads can be used for future software upgrades. |
